really great experience! Food was really good, great service from our waiter. I have celiac and needed GF, none of that was a problem and I felt well after eating here which is huge for me! Sometimes at other restaurants they will say it is GF but I will feel unwell after eating. It was also my birthday and they brought out a lovely piece of flourless chocolate cake with happy birthday written on a serving board and a candle, it was beautifully presented and very elegant. Will definitely be back!
Got a table immediately. Greeted with drinks quickly. Overall service was ok… Waiter did not know soup of the day so had to go check but quickly came back. We received our meal in a timely manner and it was delicious. Bread for the table was decent but nothing spectacular. Only two suggestions for Gio: 1. Pay careful attention to the temperature of the dining areas. We’ve been chilled in our seats multiple times. Waiters & waitresses might get a little warm walking back & forth. A passing waiter stated “I feel warm actually” as my wife explained she was freezing. Maybe if staff cooled down outside & sipping ice water..that would help strike the right temperature balance between staff & customers. Inside temp should be 70-72F. 2. Great food and service, Gio is one of our go to restaurants in our area. The front desk staff is always welcoming and we always leave with leftovers and know we’ll be back soon.
The food was great (especially the apple fig salad and the chicken Chardonnay!). The frozen pumpkin spice cocktail was also delicious! EJ was an amazing server and the restaurant looked beautiful with its holiday decorations! Definitely recommend!
