My pasta was overcooked. I ordered pesto and got something that was completely devoid of basil. If you are making a pesto that is spinach and parsley, it needs that information on the menu. Three people tasted the “pesto”, all agreed - no basil.
We enjoyed our overall meal at Gio. The only thing that knocked it down was they did not give us the Happy Hour pricing on our app and drinks when we were told that we would get the pricing in dining room as well. They serve warm french bread with oil and balsamic to start your meal. We had a wonderful meal at Gio Modern Italian. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. I highly recommend!
We were seated in the bar which we thought would be noisy but turned out to be ok. The highlight was the server who also worked the bar, Liz, who was delightful. She was very busy but totally had her act together. She was very energetic and had a great personality. Our food was great.
Great as always, we are fan favorites! This is our place we go all the time.
