We have been to Vito's several times. Service is always great. This visit we tried pizza and a calzone. Both were very good. The calzone was huge with perfect crust. The Caprese salad would have been better with fresh basil. The tomatoes were so-so. Chicken Spedini was also very good.
Vito's has the best outdoor dining in St. Louis--lots of tables with umbrellas and/or in the shade. We had their pick two lunch special--both had the excellent berry salad. I chose the penne vodka and my husband had the chicken parmesan sandwich. Both were excellent. Vito's makes their own ciabatta rolls fresh each morning--and they are delicious served with real butter (upon request--otherwise, olive oil).
