Gio’s Modern Italian restaurant in Chesterfield Valley is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in St. Louis County. We happened onto Gio’s therefore we had no expectations. Food was very good and moderately priced. Specials were to pricey… $50 for Sea Bass $20 over what I pay for excellent product at another comparable restaurant less than 7 miles away, but overall food was quite good. 6 people were seated at a table for 4. I didn’t like being so crowded. With water glasses, wine glasses, appetizers plates, and entrees it was cramped. Service was also slow. Food was good.
The food was excellent. The spicy crab linguine and fish specials were amazing. I had the sicillian pizza which was a classic delicous pizza.
The young man, who was our waiter, was charming and attentive. The food was scrumptious, my friend got the eggplant Parmesan, which had just the right amount of cheese, not too much. I got the berry salad, the touch of the roasted pecans was yummy, we sat a while and our waiter continually checked back to refill our ice tea. The menu had a nice selections, several salads and the half-and-half for lunch We sat outside on the patio and he was very gracious. When we moved tables. We Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch!
The food was great. Our waiter was great. The service at the hostess desk was terrible. A terrible first impression but once we sat down it was better. Our server Ashton was super friendly. They need friendly people greeting you because we almost left. Glad we didn’t but not sure we would come back just because of how unwelcoming it felt when we walked in.
We were a party of 8. Service was outstanding. Our server was pleasant, quick, and very responsive. Food was very good. I would have given it an "Outstanding" rating but the french fries were a barely a lukewarm temperature. All-in-all, a very good experience. Thank you for making our out-of-town guests very pleased with their Easter Brunch.
