GIO did not hit the mark last night. We had to wait 15 minutes for our table even with a reservation and though the restaurant wasn't close to full. The toasted ravioli was very overcooked to the point that we didn't bother to eat them all. Same with the chicken spedini, which was dry and flavorless without the sauce. Our server seemed put off when we didn't order alcohol and seemed almost confused by our simple requests for butter, parmesan cheese, and to rewarm food that was cool. Fabulous food and service. I was dining with old friends I'd not seen in a while, and it was loud and difficult to hear them in conversation, but delicious.
Happy Hour was fun. The food and service was great. I would recommend to family and friends.

Our lights went out last Wednesday so we couldn’t open the refrigerator so I said let’s go to Gio’s. We got there and it was very crowded but they had room outside. It was an unusually nice night in July, so it was perfect Our waiter, I apologize I cannot remember his name, but he was very friendly and attentive, especially considering how busy he was.
