We were a party of ten celebrating a special occasion (engagement). The entire evening felt rushed like when the waiter wanted to take our appetizer plates while were eating from them. We needed to ask for another diet coke and parmesan cheese at least 3 times and our steak dish was ordered medium rare and came out well done. The restaurant was nice to take off several items from our bill and give us a free dessert. Overall I was disappointed.
As a regular at Vitos, we were very disappointed by our last visit there. It took over 10 minutes to even get our bottle of wine to our table. There was a large group outside, which we were finally told at the end, ordered many pizzas, taking up all of the ovens. Start to finish, it took almost 2 hours, which is unacceptable. We were offered a free dessert, but would have preferred money off of our check or a gift card, as we saw other customers getting. I made the reservation online but they didn't have a record of it. But, since it wasn't too busy, we got a table anyway. They seemed very busy and it took a long time for the waiter to get to us just for our drink orders. Since bread was the pre-dinner fare, it wasn't really given to us until we asked for it but, even then, it didn't come to us until our main course came. My husband & I had just finished dinner at Vitto's & were leaving when I stopped by the front desk to make a future appointment for 6 people in 2 weeks, when 4 people walked in and the host asked me to wait until he took care of the people who just walked in. Personally, that was the rudest comment I've ever heard from anyone. I was totally blown away by his comment & his attitude. This restaurant is changing from the time it opened and up to 6 months from that time. Portions are getting smaller at the same price. Example, mussels appetizer would be 20 for $10, now there are 12 at the same price. They would go out of their way to accommodate special requests in advance, no longer. Our waiter had no idea. He had a negative impact on the meal. No drink order or sighting of him until appetizers arrived. We know the menu from visits to the other Vito's. Plus he got that order wrong. Then he disappeared again. One person requested fresh pepper with salad. He ran away after helping the first and asked no one else. Etc, etc. I will not be returning to this location.
This was our third visit. Food very good each time. Service good in the past but this time our waiter was far below expectations. Totally forgot our salads. I am sure we will return, but hope to get different waiter.
Frankly, was a bit disappointed. Service was very slow and food just "ok". The dishes we ordered were heavy on garlic.
Nice decor and colors, great looking bar- HOWEVER----THE ACOUSTICS ARE TERRIBLE! The restaurant was half full and we couldn't hear the server when she spoke to us and we had to raise our voices across the table of 3 to hear each other- SO FRUSTRATING!
